This historic church was dedicated in 1889 to the memory of Henry Flagler's daughter, Jennie Louise Benedict.  Mr. Flagler had the church constructed in one year at a cost of approximately one million dollars.   Today the church's magnificent pipe organ has that value!

TOM RIVERS attends worship regularly here and occasionally substitutes as organist when needed. Tom is an ordained Presbyterian Elder and Deacon and was chairperson of the Worship and Music Committee during his tenure as an active Elder.  For the past several years Tom has lead a “One Year Bible Class” that meets Wednesday afternoons from 5:30 to 6:30 PM  .  If you want to join the One Year Bible Class or want information about it call Tom at 904-347-6986. The group uses the “Chronological One Year Bible.”

Tom Rivers, Organ Assistant at Memorial Church occasionally serves as guest organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown St. Augustine and at Grace United Methodist Church,  Memorial Lutheran Church on U.S. 1 South, and All Saints Episcopal Church, Riverside Baptist Church, Riverside Park United Methodist Church, and Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville
